SOLARWATT Appoints UK Partners As Demand For Renewable Energy Drives Expansion
SOLARWATT, German supplier of high-performance dual-glass solar PV energy production and storage systems, has appointed its first partners in its expansion aimed at bringing advanced renewable-energy generation and management systems to homes across the UK.
The company will work with BHC Distributors and BHC's sister company Solar Power NI initially serving domestic and business customers in Northern Ireland.
Solar Power NI has built a strong reputation as a specialist professional installer of SOLARWATT dual-glass panels and BHC is a recognised SOLARWATT distributor, having installed 50kW systems at five Charles Hurst vehicle dealerships in Northern Ireland and a further five Lookers sites in England.
With 23 years' experience and employing more than 200 people at its leading-edge manufacturing and logistics centre in Dresden, SOLARWATT is committed to expansion following a substantial investment by Stefan Quandt, of the family that owns BMW. Solar power is gaining traction due to international carbon reduction obligations and concerns over energy costs and fuel security "“ boosted by technology advances such as SOLARWATT's ground-breaking MyReserve storage system.
Installers and customers respond positively to SOLARWATT's product portfolio and 30-year product guarantees and five-year insurance plans. Fixing energy costs, locking in savings by storing and using energy from solar panels rather than feeding it back into the grid, is set to become more attractive as fossil-fuel prices continue their long-term upward trend.
Solar Power NI and BHC Distributors are part of the McHenry Group, a family business established for 40 years in Ballycastle. BHC is also active in the Republic of Ireland where it will supply SOLARWATT PV modules, storage and intelligent energy systems. The Republic is expected to see a rise in demand for domestic and commercial renewable energy systems, encouraged by Government incentives.
Pol Spronck, SOLARWATT's International Sales Manager, said: "We have been working with SPNI and BHC for a long time and now is the time to take our relationship to the next stage. We'll be working more closely with these companies to provide the support they need to bring the latest in renewable energy efficiency and value to households and businesses across Northern Ireland and the Republic."
SOLARWATT partners benefit from training and certification, close communication, PR and marketing support and branding to ensure they're equipped to deliver the best possible options whether separately or in complete packages.
As the first supplier of a complete glass-glass solar panel portfolio, SOLARWATT has been recognised by numerous awards and product standards for innovation and quality, recently winning praise from Which! and receiving the top rating from the EU's CLEAR Project. The range available to private and commercial markets will soon include intelligent energy management systems, mounting and façade arrangements and veranda and carport systems with optional vehicle recharging, along with dual-glass solar panels, inverters and storage systems.
The company's breakthrough MyReserve storage systems address the long-standing challenge of power provision during low or no sunshine. The modular device is easy to install and increase in capacity, helping customers reduce costs permanently. In Germany, SOLARWATT supplies MyReserve, Energy Manager and a software app for an all-in-one solar PV solution provided by the utility company E.ON in Germany.
Pol Spronck added: "Energy self-sufficiency is a hot topic because people want to fix energy costs to be independent of utilities. I'm keen to hear from quality installers and designers wishing to bring their customers the best, most innovative solar PV, storage and intelligent energy systems."
"We are very keen on SOLARWATT because of the company's focus on product quality, innovation and longevity," said Pearse McHenry, Managing Director of Solar Power NI.
In November 2015 SOLARWATT announced the joint delivery of the first solar energy installation for the North West of England and the Isle of Man Reserve Forces' and Cadets' Association with Task Contract Solutions Limited at NW RFCA's Altcar Training Camp site in Merseyside.
