AES Solar Collaborate To Create Solar And EV Powerhouse

News

George Goudsmit, MD of AES Solar

Scotland's leading solar manufacturer and installation company has joined forces with a firm specialising in electrical vehicle chargers and battery storage systems creating a powerhouse partnership. AES Solar based in Forres, Moray is now collaborating with national company Phuse Energy.

AES Solar which recently opened an office in Edinburgh will head up Phuse Energy's Scottish operation.

Phuse Energy has a growing national network of electrical installers specially trained for electrical vehicle charging points and other clean energy technologies such as battery storage systems. The partnership with AES Solar means that by working together, the firms can offer a complete package when it comes to solar, battery storage and electrical vehicle chargers.

George Goudsmit, AES Solar's Managing Director explained: "Phuse has a massive network across England and they need to branch out into Scotland. There is a very clear relationship between having EV, Solar PV and battery storage and by working together we can offer all these things to both of our networks of customers. It is collaboration working at its best."

Chris Roberts, Director of Phuse Energy Ltd said "We're excited to be partnering with AES Solar because of their long-established reputation serving Scotland and the additional technical expertise they bring to the group. We also have a shared vision of how EV, solar and batteries will converge through intelligent communication between devices".

Last September, the Scottish Government announced a commitment to electric vehicles by phasing out petrol and diesel cars by 2032.

George explained: "AES Solar fully backs the Scottish Government's plans to replace vehicles powered by fossil fuels with electric alternatives and this is why we have sought a way to ensure that our customers can get the full package from our team.

"However, we do think that people should be forward thinking and plan now by installing solar panels, battery storage and electric charging points. Solar panels generate an additional income in the home for up to 30 years whilst offsetting electricity prices. This, in turn, could help the customer buy their first electric vehicle when the time comes. The appetite for electric vehicles is gathering pace and the drive from the Scottish Government will undoubtedly change the buying habits of consumers very quickly."
