UK Company Awarded Trust Accreditation
Lancashire company Solarlec has been awarded TrustMark status to give customers added peace of mind when installing solar panel systems for their home or business.
Solarlec hopes the accreditation will go further towards reassuring customers when it comes to investing in renewable energy.
Solarlec director Ged Rowbottom said: "We understand that solar panels are a substantial purchase for all of our customers, and horror stories about cowboy builders can scare people out of what can be a safe and highly lucrative investment in the hands of the right company.
"With this in mind, we sought to gain TrustMark status to give our customers the confidence and reassurance they need that they are investing in a quality product that will be installed by experienced and highly trained fitters."
TrustMark is a government-backed scheme to help consumers find reliable and trustworthy tradesman in the building industry.
Accredited companies sign up to a consumer code of practice to guarantee they have the right insurance, good health and safety practices and a focus on customer satisfaction.
Solarlec, winner of Burnley Small Business of the Year 2011, installs more than 1,200 panels every month across the UK.
