Hanwha SolarOne Modules Are The Backbone Of Ib Vogt Projects In UK

News

Hanwha SolarOne, a global provider of total PV solar solutions has supplied modules for two new ground-mounted PV installations in the United Kingdom.

The Germany-based EPC company ib vogt GmbH was responsible for the realization of the projects. Starting last autumn, these two companies have cooperated to install a total of 26 MWp of Hanwha SolarOne's multi-crystalline modules at several of ib vogt's large-scale projects.

"We congratulate ib vogt GmbH on the new PV parks," said MaengYoon Kim, Managing Director of Hanwha SolarOne GmbH. "Our company is proud to have contributed to the success of these projects, as well as to the increased generation of green electricity in the United Kingdom. Backed by Hanwha Group and its firm commitment to PV, we are ideally positioned for long-term cooperation with our customers. Hanwha SolarOne will continue to work closely with investors, developers and EPCs for the realization of more large scale PV projects worldwide."

Large-Scale Projects in the United Kingdom

In the beginning of 2013, Hanwha SolarOne supplied a total of 16 MWp of PV modules to ib vogt, for two separate PV parks in the United Kingdom. ib vogt and a joint-venture partner are owners of the PV park, and ib vogt is also operator for the installation.

The 6.2 MWp Langunnett PV Park in Cornwall will be connected to the grid in March. With a total of 25,200 modules installed, its expected annual output is 6,500 MWh.

Currently under construction, the 9.8 MWp Manston PV park in Kent is also expected to be finalized in March. The PV Park covers 13 Ha and has an expected annual output of 9,800 MWh.

"Our cooperation with the Hanwha SolarOne team has been characterized by an open and direct communication, which has created mutual trust," said Anton Milner, Managing Director of ib vogt GmbH. "Through its reliable delivery and high-quality products, Hanwha SolarOne has proven to be a strong partner for our large-scale PV projects in the United Kingdom and in Germany."

Last fall, Hanwha SolarOne also supplied PV modules for two ib vogt solar parks in the UK; the Wellow PV Park on the Isle of Wight and the PV Park Oving in Sussex. In total, the two 5 MWp projects are expected to generate 10.8 MWh annually, covering the electricity demands of around 3,000 British homes.
