SunConnex Supplies For Sunrise Eggs Array
SunConnex, aninternational distributor of PV components, has supplied a 200kw system to be installed by Salop Energy Ltd at the main packing and distribution depot of Sunrise Eggs near Loughborough in Leicestershire.
Sunrise Eggs is one of the UK's leading suppliers of Colony and Free Range eggs and now generates a significant portion of its annual required electricity through solar energy.
Comprising of 800 Yingli 250Wp panels, the system is located on a South East-facing elevation. It is projected to generate 160,000 units of electricity per annum, delivering annual savings around £32,000.
SunConnex and Salop Energy have over fifty years of combined experience and expertise in the PV and roofing sector and it is their attention to detail in the system planning and design phase which eventually secured the fiercely fought bid.
Steven Pleging, CEO at SunConnex said: "We worked hard together in defining the pricing, service and contract terms to make sure Salop Energy's tender was competitive and reflective of our considerable experience. We are proud of the result, this shows how much can be accomplished when you have strong and lean procedures in place and such professional and qualified partners like Salop Energy."
Gareth Jehu, Director at Salop Energy said: "As with any contract of this nature it is essential to find the right partner. Negotiations involving SunConnex were key to securing this significant project. In particular, the selection of the Yingli modules was a pivotal decision and SunConnex was instrumental during discussions with our client. This support helped us to focus on our specialized design for the Sunrise Eggs site and it is great to see how happy everyone is with the result."
