Risen Energy Makes 1st Level On BNEF's Bankability Tier System

Risen Energy, a manufacturer of solar cells and modules has announced that it remains listed as "Tier 1" status on the Bloomberg New Energy Finance ("BNEF") PV Module Maker Tiering System. BNEF has developed their own tiering system for PV module makers based on bankability, helping developers, EPCs and investors.
BNEF defines Tier 1 manufacturers as those, which have provided products to five different projects financed non-recourse by three different (non-development) banks, in the past two years. This selection criterion was defined as modules used in non-recourse financed projects have already been evaluated by commercial banks, and therefore proven to meet quality standards.
Risen Energy and Aton Energy signed a distribution agreement for the UK market early this year and the BNEF listing is positive news for both companies.
"This is an excellent news that Risen Energy stays listed on BNEF after Bloomberg has reinforced its criteria of T1 list modules manufacturers," said Eric Delplanque, Strategic Development Manager of Aton Energy. "Risen Energy is our strategic partner with a common long-term vision on the solar market. Quality has always been our first concern and Risen's modules meet our requirements. A new bankability & quality report will also be released in September 2014.",
The next edition of Solar UK will feature a discussion on PV tier systems
