The Japanese IC producer is determined to maintain a top three position in the global semiconductor market on the basis of discrete, analogue and NAND Flash ICs along with its silicon solution business. The company believes that it leads the world in deploying 90nm production capabilities and will continue to do so in the 65nm transition. A key target for the discrete business will be to expand into China and Korea.
